When weary of the heavy load and wishing to be free it’s hard to see that freedom lies in responsibility. But to accept your load, your daily tasks, lightens them in one thought shift; "My life is mine and mine alone, I want to grow, now lift!"

When old fears try to stop you when you change towards your best, stop for just ten seconds and take one conscious breath. One conscious breath will break the grip of the front line of your fear, and in that moment choose again, now with direction clear. We are the sum of all our parts and our parts are mainly choice, tiny decisions all stacked up flowing from our inner voice. One conscious breath, drawn deeply in, can break old anxious paths. Spot your fear, then take a breath and you are free at last.

We can read thick books on mindfulness and use meditation apps, all helpful and wonderful, but let’s not get too confused about where your wellbeing’s at. If you train the eye to see puffs of beauty in your day and sit in silence, feel your breathing, you are well and on your way. These pillars of contentment will dissolve the weight of daily problems, simple, uncomplicated yet profound in how they solve them.

When things don't seem to go our way we often whinge and complain. But notice that when you refocus on what you love in your life you stop complaining and all is well. What you focus on defines your life, in good times and in bad…the amplifying loud speaker of the happy or the sad. It's not easy but it really is up to you...choose bitterness and complain, or see the good around you and lean into happiness again.

Being yourself takes courage and vulnerability to push through, but when proud of what you’re doing, others' thoughts don’t bother you. Others' negative thoughts don’t even register if you’re busy being free, there is no greater confidence than living 'This is me!’

When caught in gusts of overwhelm, or changes are hitting with a jolt, this mantra covers all I need to weather the fear fuelled bolt. Just do today! Yes! When overwhelmed, this is what to say..."I might not scale the mountain, but I can just do today!"

Less screens, more dreams! Now there’s a simple thought…instead of watching others, give yourself all that you’ve got. We want to use our extraordinary technology but we also must be free. Free to do and make and be what we want our selves to be, not zoning out to someone else living out their dream. Ask, "Am I using this device to hear, inspire and create, contact, connect, design, apply and make? Or is it using me, zoning out to someone else living out their dream?"

You get all pumped up to change your life and then find you’ve got no place to go; you want real change to be radical, fast and obvious, but it’s gradual, deep and slow. The good news here is that it’s all perception and we can change how we perceive. Believe you’ve done your best today, and rest your head in peace, knowing the long road’s getting shorter to the best of all you’ll be. Patience is the superpower of putting off your need to have returns, delay the gratification of what your efforts in have done.
